Japan Business Development & Partnerships Manager


Slido is excited to be expanding to Japan! We are looking for an ambitious self-starter who will build trusting relationships with our customers, helping them unlock their full potential with Slido in their company. Besides our customers, you will also be responsible for building relationships with key partners that raise the credibility of Slido’s brand and extend the reach of our product.

Your role 

  • Identify, raise and prioritize new opportunities
  • Tailor sales process and execute it efficiently
    • Consultancy, advisory and meeting design (through calls, emails and personal meetings)
    • Orchestrate procurement requests (legal review, security review, documentation…)
  • Structure, negotiate, and close new partnership deals
  • Take part in preparing client events & generate leads from key events
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers and partners
  • Proactively work on building the brand and the business in Japan
  • Build a community of companies/individuals with shared vision & create community events for our target audience 
  • Target and attend events in the region to establish long-term cooperation
  • Analyze and report on partner initiatives, forecast for strategic changes and report on key metrics

Your profile 

  • 2+ years of experience in sales/business development/partnerships (SaaS industry preferred)
  • Track record of building/supporting successful partnerships and communities
  • You speak fluent English and Japanese
  • You know your way around Japanese culture and work customs
  • You’re a self-driven, motivated, goal-oriented and customer focused team-player
  • You have strong communication & listening skills and you enjoy both networking and public speaking
  • Healthy competition motivates you, and you’re persistent and resilient
  • You have good business understanding and product knowledge
  • Prioritization and time-management come naturally to you
  • Data and analytics are your friends allowing you to make better decisions

Monthly salary (gross): base starting from 1200€- 3000€ (145K- 362K ¥)+ monthly bonus
* salary will be adjusted based on seniority and location
